Student Workshops
We run three sequentially tiered workshops for students at the different age levels. We use both role play and explicit teaching in ourpresentations as we aim to have the sessions be fun and energetic, as well as practical and informative. We try to involve the students as
much as possible to maximize their learning and so try to limit the numbers in any one session to 50, which is approximately 2 classes.

Cool, Calm Kids
Student workshops for Prep-Year 2
This session teaches young children the foundations of assertive behavior and the dangers of certain types of reactions. The way we respond to teasing and bossy behavior is explored through developing social skills, body awareness and appropriate language to build resilience. Starting an education around this topic early has been shown to greatly influence behavior patterns, as children get older.Click here for more information
Resilient Kids
Student workshops for Years 3 and 4
This session teaches children to identify the full range of bullying behavior and to better understand its real impacts on others. It equips them with strategies for assertiveness, resisting peer pressure and taking on pro-active bystander behavior. We actively engage students in small group discussion and mini role-plays.

Bystanding Up
Student workshops for Years 5 and 6
This session sequentially develops the ideas that we introduced in the "resilient kids" workshop as well as touching on cyber bullying issues. We deepen our engagement with all forms of bullying and recognizing its impacts. Creating active bystanders has been shown to be the single biggest factor in reducing the level of bullying at schools and, as such, we bring a strong focus to it at this level. As they begin to prepare to move into secondary schools this focus becomes especially vital.

10-20 Week Emotional Education Series
After our incursions we are often asked by schools "where to now?" This program is a new addition to our work and is aimed at safely exploring many important topics that children often find hard to talk about. It's offered only to the 5/6 levels and includes deepening the investigation into bullying and the best ways protect ourselves. This series is based on the work of the nationally acclaimed organization "Solving the Jigsaw" of which Michael is a recognized facilitator. The program can be shortened or lengthened by design.
